At SAN Automotive, the Tooling Development Centre is not a support function—it is the core of our integrated development capability. This centre drives precision, repeatability, and manufacturing intelligence across complex applications and performance-critical systems.
Supported by a dedicated team of specialists and advanced machining infrastructure including VMCs and wire-cut EDM systems, SAN develops adaptive tooling systems for a wide range of complex requirements.
These include progressive systems, transfer tooling, deep-draw applications, tandem line tooling, cam forming systems, welding fixtures, precision jigs, trimming and piercing systems, and specialised production solutions.

Tool development at SAN is approached through simulation-led validation and digital precision systems. Leveraging advanced platforms such as CATIA, UNI Graphics, and AutoForm, we optimise tooling performance, minimise trial iterations, enhance durability, and ensure dimensional consistency under demanding operating conditions.
Every fabrication program is supported through detailed process planning, fixture development, and validation methodologies to ensure structural integrity, dimensional consistency, and manufacturability.
This integrated approach enables higher operational efficiency while reducing production variability and downstream complexity.
A dedicated 56-member tooling team, combined with predictive springback compensation and precision validation, ensures stable output across high-volume, high-precision applications.
Beyond supporting in-house operations, this capability increasingly serves external customer requirements—strengthening SAN’s position as a technology-led development partner for global mobility and industrial sectors.
As SAN continues to evolve, this division is being expanded into a dedicated engineering and technology centre focused on advanced tooling, validation systems, and future-ready industrial solutions.
